SAN PEDRO, Calif. - August 27, 2010 - PhotoSpin, www.photospin.com, a leading provider of stock photography by subscription introduces Bruce Shippee as this month's Meet The Artist. After taking a high school photography class, Bruce's interest in photography took off and is still running strong. Thanks to a creative inspiring teacher, he decided to enroll at Brooks Institute of Photography, graduating with a BA in commercial photography. After some experience working in a large studio in the Midwest, Bruce returned to the wine country of Sonoma County where he grew up, and opened his own studio in the mid 80's. Bruce works for a wide range of clients, shooting such images as fashion, wine and food, a variety of products, etc.
"I enjoy commercial work, it's always something different and you have to be able to light many different types of subjects," says Bruce Shippee of www.bruceshippee.com
Bruce got into stock photography about 4 years ago, initially pulling images from his archived files. He found that stock photography has become a fun way to supplement his income and has also become a natural extension to the work he does on a daily basis.
"Stock gives me the opportunity to create my own assignments and keep me shooting when I have downtime," says Bruce.
Bruce's images can be purchased either individually or through a PhotoSpin subscription service.
