SAN PEDRO, Calif., April 15, 2013 - PhotoSpin, www.photospin.com, a leading provider of stock photography by subscription is happy to introduce Taiwanese photographer, Shi Yali. Shi first became interested in photography around 40 years ago when his father, a journalist, let him use his high quality German film SLRs and Zeiss lenses. Before long, Shi set up a darkroom in the bathroom and spent long hours at night developing black and white film and making prints. In the decades that followed, Shi’s life became busy with work and family and, unfortunately, his photography had to take a back seat to life’s demands. Then about 10 years ago Shi’s love for photography resurfaced and he soon found himself selling stock and fine art photography online. Shi has a unique talent for making the ordinary look fresh and interesting by photographing simple things at various perspectives.
“I have heard it said that love is not blind but has an extra eye, which shows us what is most worthy of regard, and that is what I try to accomplish in my photography, to look at things and places and situations with that extra eye of the camera that brings out a special meaning or purpose,” says Shi Yali.
Shi’s images can be accessed through a PhotoSpin subscription service.
